Built for large commercial and residential installations, the Professional Grade speaker cable is designed for pros who want to provide customers with the best quality audio and get the job done quickly and efficiently. Rated for both in-wall and direct burial use, this four-conductor high strand count copper cable provides excellent signal transfer over long cable runs (over 50 ft), and the 4-conductor wire has a higher threshold for power and can be bi-amped (two amps to a single speaker) for volume control installations. The reinforced but flexible polypropylene jacket is UV resistant and protects the copper conductors from high heat and cold conditions as well as dirt, dust and other elements that can degrade cable integrity. Features that cater to demanding integrators include a reinforced box with an easy pull, snag-free design, and tissue-wrapped conductors for quick stripping. The extra sturdy box has a large payout hole, so cable runs are fast and smooth while the patented REELEX technology pulls coils from the inside out to prevent twists, knots, and tangles that can slow job progress. This sturdy audio speaker cable also includes two-foot increment printed markers so you can determine how much cable has been used and how much is left in the box, making long cable runs easier than ever.

This is in regards to running 100' from my house to my garage, using a 14/4 or 2 14/2's that you answered for me yesterday. I know that you shouln't expose the wires to the elements, but I have a speaker terminal block that I could use under the eves. My question is will it hurt anything to run both right and left speaker connections though the 14/4 to the terminal block and then separate them there?

Jim,
Ah, I see now. Yes, that would be fine! Run the 4-conductor wire from your amp/receiver to the speaker selector unit and then run two 2-conductor wires from the speaker selector to the speakers.

Does this item come in black? I only see white jacket as option.

Hi Jeff,
All of our speaker wire comes in white jacket only.

Does it make sense to run one 14-4 out from my amp to a mid point then connect two pairs of your rock speakers around my pool? In other words, make a T and then run 14-2 to each pair of speakers on left and right side of the T ?
Customer Service • 12/17/2019, 2:17:43 PM
Hello Ken,
Yes, but you would want to make sure your amp can handle a 4ohm load (4 speakers). You could either run into a volume control as the mid-point or a speaker selector such as the SSVC2.
Ken • 12/17/2019, 2:17:43 PM
Forgot to mention, the run from amp through wall to the T would be about 75 ft. Then the split to 14-2 to each pair of speakers (8 total, 4-L&R channels spaced equally about the pool) would be about 50-60 ft in each direction.

14 gauge is good up to about 200ft runs so that should be fine.
K Bartley • 12/17/2019, 2:17:43 PM
Running 90 feet of cable from a volume control speaker selector from inside to outside. Then need to run 2 75 foot runs to 2 outdoor speakers. Can I run 14/4 for the 90 feet, then 14/2 from there. If so what type of connector or T should I use at the spit? Thanks
Customer Service • 12/17/2019, 2:17:43 PM
Hi K,
Yes you can do that. A "T" connector would be fine or bare wire using our KI-BLUE wire connectors.
