I noticed some complaints in the reviews in regards to mounting the AP520 horizontally, has the issue been resolved? These would be mounted horizontally under an eave with the speaker facing out and slightly downward.

I have not heard of any issue where the product has been returned due to this issue. The two reviews where it was brought up had issues but they did not return the product. I personally recommend the step up from the AP520 to the AP525 especially for horizontal mounting since the AP525 bracket also tilts as well as swivels so you can toe the speaker inwards and down. The ideal distance between right and left speaker should equal the distance to the sweet spot or prime listening spot/area. The distance from each speaker to the sweet spot should equal the distance you mount them apart left and right. Like a perfect triangle with three equal sides. If they have to be mounted a little farther apart you can make sure the tweeters are on the inside.

do these work with RCA type plug's? If not do you have any outdoor speaker's that will?

Hi Larry:
These connectors are binding posts featured on the back of the AP520 speaker that will not work with RCA connectors especially if they are from a preamplified signal.

I have a pair of outdoor speakers. Can I adjust the volume on the speaker itself? Or, do I need to get a volume control for outside?

Hi Diane:There is no built-in volume control on any of our passive patio speakers. We do recommend adding one of our OVC300 outdoor Impedance Matching Volume Controls. Or if you are only looking for a single Volume controls with no plans to add additional speakers we recommend using our OVC305R (resistor based unit with no Impedance matching Capability). In either case, these are stereo Volume controls with four input connections (right and left channels each +/-). You wire it in line with the wires you have already run or are -planning to use. If you are in the planning stages, you will run a single four-conductor cable (like our 16/4) to the Volume control then two (2) conductor cables (like our 16/2) one to each speaker. They will work if you have already run two (2) conductor cables as well. If your runs are over 80 feet, then we would recommend going with 14 gauge cables. How can i hook these speakers up to my Samsung tv

HiVictoria:Youwill need an external amplifier. All Audio outputs on the SAMSUNG TV are preamponly. There are two choices one analog (3.5mm stereo headphone jack) and theother Digital Fiber Optic. There is an issue with SAMSUNG TV not having aVariable output so you can not control the volume with your SAMSUNG Remote. Ouroptimum solution is adding our NERO XD Streamer Integrated Power Amplifier withFiber Optic Input so can be connected directly to the Digital Fiber Opticoutput of the TV. It would be a native digital signal transmitted to the NEROXD Streamer where it would convert to Analog through the High-Quality DAC(Digital to Analog Converter). It supports 16/24-bit192kHz typically higher qualitythan those DACs found in Standard TV. The NERO is compact and includes a WallMounting bracket so you can mount the Amp on the wall behind the TV. The NEROXD Streamer features additional sources like a free app-driven Wi-Fi Link and aBluetooth Receiver as well as the Digital Fiber Optic and Analog line-input.There is also a dedicated Subwoofer output so a Powered Subwoofer can be easilyadded and controlled by the IR Remote Control that comes with the NERO AMP.
