Can these speakers be connected to additional sets, what do I need to purchase in addition to the speakers, and what type of sound system do they connect to? Thank you!
Customer Service • 12/17/2019, 2:17:43 PM
Hi Melissa,
Yes these speakers can be connected to additional sets. These speakers need an amp or receiver to power them. Do you already have a set up that you're trying to add to?

It looks like these and most of your outdoor patio speakers have a port. Should I be concerned that rain will get inside the speaker enclosure through the port?
Customer Service • 12/17/2019, 2:17:43 PM
Hi Steve,
It is recommended to mount these under an eve to protect against direct rain contact. If you do not have the means to do this, you can mount them horizontally and aim the speakers downward. Thanks!

I read a review of the AP840 speakers (the model above the AP640 I'm really interested in) where the person tested them and said that the bass rolled off rapidly below 200 Hz, there was a very prominent peak around 500 Hz, and above that the volume dropped a bit with the treble flattening out above 800 Hz. He then took a peek inside and found this 2 way system did not have a real crossover to properly blend the woofer and the tweeter together to balance the output. He said there appears to be nothing more than a capacitor in line to the tweeter, presumably to protect it. He added that It is also typical to have a generous amount of polyfill in a speaker cabinet to improve bass performance but only a thin loose sheet was present in the OSD's. Lastly, he said the speaker cabinet, molded from a hard stiff polymer, was not really braced, and vibrated strongly to the touch during bass tones. Can somone confirm or disprove all these findings?
