Can these be used in a truck/SUV? What amp & power would you use to pair with speakers?
Customer Service • 12/17/2019, 2:17:43 PM
Hi Wally,
I suppose you could run them in your vehicle. You would need to run them off an 8ohm amplifier though. Most car stereo runs 4 of 6 ohms if I remember correctly. You would want an amp that pushes somewhere between 50-100 watts RMS. Does that about answer your question?

I have a Yamaha rx-v463 receiver that I use to power my current system located in large metal building. I am looking to replace current speakers(0ne failed after 7 months - static/crack noise)This is the second time the left speaker failed. I need to run strong volume to cover my application. Will the AP650 speakers handle my receiver and provide good volume and a reliable system

Jack,
I'm looking at the specs on that receiver, and it looks to be a 5.1 surround sound receiver. Typically these are very limited as far as running in stereo mode. The AP650 patio speakers are a great option that will provide high quality audio and good bass response, but running 7 of them would generally require a high powered amp such as our AMP200. Can that receiver run all outputs in stereo?

I am only using 2 speakers and that would be the same if I purchase the AP650. I believe the receiver is rated for 105w/channel and I wanted to make sure the Ap650 have the capacity to avoid another failure

I need a good quality discreet speaker with an adjustable wall mount system, like these. I want to use them indoors for 2 channel stereo in a multi room system. Anyone used these indoors? If so what's been your experience?
Customer Service • 12/17/2019, 2:17:43 PM
Hi Mark,
While a patio style speaker is intended for outdoor use, you can definitely use them indoors as well. Yes, we have had several customers install these and other outdoor style speakers in their homes. The AP650 happens to be one of the better quality outdoor patio speakers. Let us know if you have any further questions.

Do these speakers work with the sonos connect amp? Thanks!
Customer Service • 12/17/2019, 2:17:43 PM
Hi Jeffrey,
That should work just fine. You would just connect via speaker wire and you would be set to go. I believe the Sonos Connect AMP has about 55 watts per channel if I remember correctly, so that should power these just fine.
