Could these be used in a jeep wrangler?
Customer Service • 12/17/2019, 2:17:43 PM
Hi Phil,
I suppose so, as long as you have the correct type of amplifier to run them. I don't know if a standard car amp would provide enough power to get decent quality/volume out of them.

Bought a pair about a year ago. Generally good experience, but the 8" driver in one of the speakers is now distorting the sound. I tried swapping the wires at the receiver to see if I had a bad channel there, but this confirmed that it's the speaker. Would hate to have to buy a whole new pair just because of this. Any ideas for a fix?

Hi Kevin,
These should still be under warranty, so you should be able to send it in for repair/replacement. Contact our returns department at rma@outdoorspeakerdepot.com

The description states the speakers are available in either white or black, yet when I try to select a color black is the only option. Are the white ones available, even if still back ordered? Thanks.
Customer Service • 12/17/2019, 2:17:43 PM
Hi Brett,
The white ones are out-of-stock but will be available sometime within the next month or so.

I would like to put 5 of these speakers on my deck. I watch tv outside as well as listen to movies. Would these speakers do well in this configuration (one acting as a center channel when watching tv). Also what would you recommend as a sub that handle the elements?
Customer Service • 12/17/2019, 2:17:43 PM
Hi Rudy,
These would make for a pretty powerful surround system for your patio, but maybe just a bit too much, unless you are not surrounded in an enclosed patio. It may be better to go with the AP650 speakers which although are a bit smaller, will yield a higher definition sound than the AP840, making them more suitable for an outdoor home theater.
For the sub, will it be in a protected area not exposed to the weather or moisture? If so, go with our PS10 or PS12. If you need something outdoor-rated however, the only sub we have is the OMSUB200 which requires amplification.

I will be running 3 pair of ICE840's and 2 pair of AP840's. Mostly music and some surround sound. Can someone recommend a receiver that will accommodate and power this many speakers. Will I need a speaker selector?
Thanks, Mark
Customer Service • 12/17/2019, 2:17:43 PM
Hi Mark,
You would want to run a high-current amp such as our AMP300 and run a 6-Zone speaker selector or two smaller speaker selectors (one off zone A, one off zone B). Check out our ISS6 speaker selector.
