I have two in wall OSD 350W IWS88 subwoofers. Can I use one SMP500 amp for them both and would I be able to wire in parallel and still have the desired output?
Customer Service • 03/21/2023, 2:56:02 PM
Power Handling: 350 Watts
Sensitivity: 90 dB @ 1W/1M
Impedance: 4 Ohms
These are rated at 4 ohms. So you need a dedicated AMP for each. The best option is to utilize two each of the SMP200, which will output 200 Watts RMS into a 4-ohm Subwoofer. You can purchase two of the SMP200 for the cost of an SMP500. 350 Wattas is the max or peak rating for these Subwoofers.

I have the SMP500 inside connected to the LFE of my receiver. For the past few yrs I have not had any hum. I just turned on the unit and the sub makes a constant hum that sounds like a higher frequency than a 60Hz hum one would hear due to a ground loop. The hum goes away if I remove the RCA cables. I have replaced the cables but that did not help. What's the best way to trouble shoot this?
