I will be hooking them diract to my TV . Will they work with out an amplifier
Customer Service • 12/17/2019, 2:17:43 PM
Hi Tim,
The AP450 patio speakers require an amp or receiver to drive them. Our AMP60 would be a good choice for your application, or you can connect our Classic Jet powered speakers directly to your TV without an amp/receiver. Here is a link http://www.outdoorspeakerdepot.com/2-1-multimedia-speaker.html

Hi...
Are weatherproof with weather at sea?
Since the sea weather is very corrosive.
That time is guaranteed for weather at sea?
Thanks...
Customer Service • 12/17/2019, 2:17:43 PM
Hi Hugy,
The AP450 patio speakers are designed for extreme weather conditions but these speakers are not classified as marine speakers. Salt water could harm to the grills and brackets as well as the speaker components. You can further weatherize the grill and brackets by spraying Rust-Oleum before installation. This will help prevent corrosion but is not a guarantee.

What kind of speaker wire will I need? What else will I need to hook to an iPad dock? Will wireless speakers work with these?
Customer Service • 12/17/2019, 2:17:43 PM
Hi Judi,
The AP490 patio speakers will need a receiver or amp to drive them, like our AMP120. Depending on the iPad dock, you can connect the speakers via an RCA cable or mini to RCA adapter. Using your iPad dock as the source into the AMP120, you would go out of 'line 2" with that same signal into wireless speakers. The AP490 connects to the AMP120 with outdoor speaker cable, which we also offer. For runs 80 feet or under, 16 gauge wire will work fine. If you're running cable from 80-200 feet, go with a 14 gauge. If your run exceeds 200 feet, consider using a 12 gauge cable.

Can I hook these speakers up to my Bose radio?
Customer Service • 12/17/2019, 2:17:43 PM
Hi Beth,
If your Bose radio has inputs for left and right speakers and enough power to run the AP450 patio speakers which are capable of 110W, then yes. Typically, customers will run our patio speakers from a separate amplifier or receiver.
