My cable box is about 75ft from the TV - outdoor TV under covered patio to indoor cable box. I have not seen any IR cables that long for sale. I heard I can use CAT5 but before I start splicing, thought I would ask. Thanks!
Customer Service • 12/17/2019, 2:17:43 PM
Hi Sean,
Along with the 9ft IR Receiver Extender Cable, we also have a 25ft IR Extension Cable (link below). Something to consider.

Do you think this will work with my Contour units from Cox... Cisco Model 9865 (main unit) and Cisco Model 4642HDC ?
Customer Service • 12/17/2019, 2:17:43 PM
Hi Daniel,
We have compatible and non-compatible boxes listed in the product description. Some Cisco products are found in the compatible list, CISCO CHS535, CH335 HD DVR. You would be able to contact Cisco and double check to see if your 9865 and 4642HDC work the same as the compatible models.

is the verizon 7232 2 the same as 7232 p2?
Customer Service • 12/17/2019, 2:17:43 PM
Hi Milena:
That would be a question for Verizon. But we know the IR0104 works with the Verizon HD 7232 P2 (manufacturer: Motorola)

My JVC LED TV IR sensor, is not working. Can I connect this IR receiver to my TV, so I can control volume and turning on and off my TV?...If not, do you sell something that will work?
Customer Service • 12/17/2019, 2:17:43 PM
Hi Carlos:
First you need to determine a few things...
The IR Sensor is not working on your TV, I am assuming with the JVC Remote control or your Time Warner or Direct TV universal Remote? Did you change the batteries on the remote that would not work? Have you gone into settings on the TV to see if you can turn the IR Sensor on/off? Does your TV have a input on the back for an IR Receiver like the IR0104; Does your owners manual have anything about adding an external Remote sensor? If you do not have your owners Manual you can find it on-line. I checked a couple of JVC televisions but did not see any with IR input usually a 3.5mm RCA connection (like a headphone jack on your smartphone).
You might want to contact JVC customer support as well to discuss IR.
I hope that helps

Will this extender work on my Arris DCX3600 DVR? I tried the one I had used with my Dirctv dvr
But it didn't work. I also purchased one that had emitters which I attached to the dvr and to a box with a
IR target but that didn't work either.
Customer Service • 12/17/2019, 2:17:43 PM
Hi Howard:
For your ARRIS box you will need the upgraded version of this Receiver, model IR3856 which is a dual Frequency Receiver (38kHZ-56kHz) versus the IR0104 model which is a single frequency 38kHz. It is available on AMAZON. Check out the reviews which mention the ARRIS boxes.
Good Luck
