I want to switch from indoor speakers to outdoor speakers from same stereo receiver, will the A/B selector switch work in this application.

Assuming the speakers are 8 ohms impedance, the AB-1.2 in-wall speaker selector should be fine for your application.

would this speaker switch work with a 70 volt amplifier output and 70 volt speakers?

Thanks for the question. Yes it can work with that application but it is only recommended to have no more than 2 speakers on each channel.

I want to mount a speaker switch outside. Is there a box that would cover this to make it weather proof, or is there another switch that is weather proof?

Yes the cover plate shown in the photo does come with the selector switch. You can choose between white, almond, or ivory.
