Can I put this before my 8 speaker distribution panel. I want to use it to toggle between my upstairs and downstairs receivers. Right now I run all the house speakers just off my upstairs receiver?
Customer Service • 12/17/2019, 2:17:43 PM
Hi Brett,
It's not recommended. Having two amps running to a full, whole-house audio system is just to risky when switching between the amps. It does depend on the type of amps, i.e., what kind of loads they can handle and whether or not they have a standby mode, but it would be risky. It may be a better idea to run a dual source speaker selector with impedance matching instead. Check out our DSM4 or SSVC2.

I have 3 sets of outdoor speakers with volume controls. I control my amp from my phone while I'm outside and done't have need for the volume controls. Can this switch act as an on/off? Do you offer one?
Customer Service • 12/17/2019, 2:17:43 PM
Hi Tommy,
The A/B selector switch would not work as it only switches the source or speakers instead cutting off the current.
We do have the SVC205, which is a volume control with an on/off switch.

I want to switch between two 120V amps for one set of speakers. Will this item produce the sound in stereo?
Customer Service • 12/17/2019, 2:17:43 PM
Hi Derrick,
What model amps will you be using exactly?
Tracey • 12/17/2019, 2:17:43 PM
Will this accept line level wires as well? I want to switch between a record player and a tape player, these two line levels will go into this switch, then the out from this switch will be a line level that goes into my amplifier. This way I can just push a button to listen to my record player or tape player. Will this work?
Customer Service • 12/17/2019, 2:17:43 PM
Hi Tracey,
Only speaker wire unfortunately.
