The SSVC6D dual source 6-pair speaker selector with volume controls is one of our most popular models because it's the perfect fit and price for a wide range of distributed audio systems and includes features found on selectors that cost three times as much. Made of high quality metal cast construction and compact enough to fit tablet top, this versatile speaker selector connects six pairs of speakers or 12 speakers total and puts you in control of which zone to play and at what volume level. Compatible with all high-power amps up to 300W, the front-mounted master A/B switch allows you to toggle between two audio sources; for instance, switch from music streamed from your tablet or receiver with just a push of a button.
    Features:
    • Dual source speaker selector that distributes audio from a high current amplifier to up to six pairs of speakers or six separate zones
    • Includes individual volume control knobs to raise or lower the volume of each listening zone
    • Front-mounted master A/B switch lets you turn sources either on or off
    • Play one pair, a combination of pairs, or all six pairs simultaneously and adjust the volume to suit each zone
    • Impedance protection allows a single amplifier to safely power several pairs of speakers
    • Autoformer-based operates more efficiently than resistor-based selectors
    • Compact table top design or fits inside cabinets and equipment racks
    • Six individual zone on/off slotted buttons for easy labeling
    • Removable input/output connectors provide hassle-free hook-up
    • Compatible with all high-current amplifiers up to 300W
    • Accepts up to 14-gauge speaker cable
    • High quality metal construction

Professional-Level Whole House Audio at a DIY Price
This durable 6-zone speaker selector will accommodate many distributed audio systems and is limited only by your imagination. Control your outdoor rock speakers and patio system with outputs 1 and 2, dining room and kitchen speakers with outputs 3 and 4, etc., to create a professional-level whole house system. The SSVC6D is also well suited for commercial applications such as restaurants where the bar area may have higher volumes than the dining rooms and restrooms.

    Impedance-Matching Protection Safeguards Amplifiers
To help protect expensive audio equipment, this 6-zone high-power speaker selector includes impedance-matching frequency protection circuitry that reduces subsonic signals so you can safely drive multiple pairs of speakers without going below the amp's impedance ratings which can cause it to overheat or shut down.

Designed for Ease of Use and Installation
Connecting 12 speakers is a tedious and frustrating chore which is why the SSVC6D includes removable input and output connectors that accept up to 14-gauge speaker cable. The heavy-duty connectors unplug from the back so you can strip and insert the wires systematically without confusion of what speaker wire is going to what zone. For added convenience, the individual on/off buttons are slotted so you can label each of the listening zones.

Andy Brazier • 12/17/2019, 2:17:43 PM Will this unit replace the Niles ssvc-6 speaker selection/volume control system with out any problems?
    Customer Service • 12/17/2019, 2:17:43 PM
Hi Andy:The SSVC6 is the same 6 Zone Speaker Selector with dedicated internal volume control for each Zone. Both Speaker Selectors feature an on/off switch per Zone. The Niles SSVC6 features a selectable four position Impedance Matching switch (1, 2, 3-4, and 5-6 located on the back panel. The OSD SSVC6D features impedance Matching Jumpers, two for each stereo (left and right channels) Volume Control per zone. I believe we ship the SSVC6D with all six settings in the 4X settings. Unlike the switch on the Niles, you would need to remove the top panel (along with 14 or so screws) to change the internal parameters of the SSVC6D. 4X will cover 1 to 4 pairs playing at the same time. 4X will work for five and six pairs depending on the quality of power amplifier you are using. No problem with a High Current Power Amp that is 2 to 4-ohm stable. One other feature I need to mention is the OSD SSVC6D has dual Sources (A & B) with a master switch, so all zones are either Source A or Source B. So the SSVC6D should work fine, but I would be happy to discuss the settings for your application before you buy; tim@osdaudio.com.TL/5573
Paul Sutton • 12/17/2019, 2:17:43 PM Your SSVC6 is exactly what I need except for one thing. I’m looking to connect my iPad and Sirius receiver with cables which both have banana plug connectors. I also will occasionally use my laptop which has the same. It will be problematic if not impossible to be swapping out bare wire connections. Also all of my existing speaker connections have banana plugs. Is there any sort of adapter which can be wired to each connection which will allow me to use my existing banana plugs? Or is there any other option?
    Customer Service • 12/17/2019, 2:17:43 PM
Hi Paul:The advantage of the SSVC6D is that it has built-in Impedance Matching Volume Controls so you have a speaker selector that organizes your 1 to six pairs of speaker connections in parallel. All but one of our speaker selectors feature removable input and output connectors with screw-down terminals and work best with 16 AWG speaker wire the best. 14 gauge is a little tight and 12 way too big for the connectors. We do offer an ATM7 7 zone Speaker Selector with Binding Post that accepts bare wire up to 12 Gauge. The downside is the ATM7 has no internal Protection so you would need to add external Volume Controls in line for each zone especially if you plan to play two or more zones at the same time. The primary function would be to control the impedance matching for your amplifier. Now in both cases, these speaker selectors are passive devices that feature high (speaker) Level signal. Somewhere between your iPad and Sirius Receiver, you will need an Amplifier. Something like either of our AMP300 or the new XMP300. Tell me if you want to discuss further; tim@osdaudio.com.TL/5601
Scott • 02/25/2021, 6:17:15 PM Hello, I was reading the descripion for this selector and it states "Compatible with all high-power amps up to 300W" Is that 300w per channel and is that "RMS" or "Peak"? My amp is a Carver M1.5t which can easily produce 350w per channel continously. Thank you.
    Customer Service • 03/02/2021, 12:07:26 PM
Hi Scott: The 300Watt rating on the SSVC6D is Peak per channel. The CARVER M1.5 is a beast. I do not have a volume control that will handle either. The SVC300 is the same as the internal VC of the SSVC6D, and they are 150W RMS. Sorry about that. TL 3/2/2021
Super • 01/26/2023, 8:59:21 PM Ok, so I have six Yamaha (NS-AW294) speakers that I would connect to this device. They each have a 50w RMS with a max of 100w. Hypothetically I need a 300 watt amplifier with a single channel, and these speakers are each 8 ohms, so how does this device change impedance when it splits the signals? Trying to find a compatible amp, there are way to many options. Do you have any recommendations for this particular scenario?
    Customer Service • 03/21/2023, 3:33:56 PM
Hi Super: The best amp choice is our AMP300. In order to get the most out of the AMP300 High Current Power Amplifier you want it to be at 4 ohms. You will need to open up the cover of the SSVC6D and change the internal pin settings to 4X (pins #4 and 5). There are 12 jumpers,a left and right transformer two total per zone times 6 zones. All 6 zones must have the same pin setting. make sure to unplug the eight conductor input and output connectors (they are tight but removable) before removing and repalcing the Cover. TimL/3-23
