The OSD PAM-1270 represents a significant advancement in the realm of installation amplifiers technology, blending innovative design with user-friendly features. This versatile device offers the flexibility of 12 Mono Zone (70V), 6 Stereo Zones (8/4 Ohm), or a hybrid of both, utilizing 85% class D design technology. It can function as six independent Stereo Zone amplifiers, ensuring a smooth and customizable audio experience.
Ease of use is paramount with the PAM-1270, as it boasts intuitive Input and Output connections. Any of the 12 mono amplifiers can be connected to 70-Volt, 8-Ohm, or 4-ohm speaker circuits, providing a variety of setup options. Each mono amplifier comes equipped with its own input and output connectors as well as level controls, ensuring precise management of each zone.
With the capability to support up to 6 stereo Zones (4-ohm or 70-Volt at 50Watts/channel) and 6 mono/bridged Zone amplifiers (110 Watt bridged 8-ohm), the PAM-1270 provides a robust and flexible audio solution. Each zone can be independently configured, allowing for a mix of Stereo 4-ohm or 70Volt and Mono/Bridged 8-ohm setups. The front panel features dual-function LEDs, offering at-a-glance activity and clip indication for each amplifier pair.
Additional user-friendly features are located on the back panel, including Six Limiter Buttons and Six Stereo/Bridge modes for individual Stereo or Bridged Mono Zones. The Channel Input Line/Bus switch allows users to select between the Bus Input (when the button is depressed) or the individual Zone's Input signal, providing additional flexibility.
Moreover, the PAM-1270 is equipped with an RS232 for IP interface, facilitating integration with Home Automation Systems. It also includes an automatic shut-off feature for any amplifier without a signal at its input and is multi-voltage compatible, operating on either 110V-120V/60Hz or 220V-240V/50Hz AC mains, ensuring global usability.
