Relax in the tub and enjoy beautiful sound with these water-resistant 6.5" in-ceiling speakers! With 150W power handling, these in-ceiling speakers are the solution to bringing quality audio to high moisture areas, and are constructed of durable, moisture-resistant materials for use in high-humidity areas such as bathrooms, laundry rooms, kitchens, under outdoor eaves or covered porches. Sold in pairs, these weather-resistant speakers are also great for covered porches and patios! The aluminum grill cover is rust-resistant for wet application. The ICE600WRS weather-resistant in-ceiling speaker pair works well with a CL3 in-wall rated speaker wire, which is designed to run inside walls.
Pivoting Tweeter
The job of the tweeter is to deliver the higher frequencies of music and soundtracks. The tweeter is also adjustable, meaning it can be aimed toward the listening area. This can make a big difference in sound quality especially for dialog and higher frequencies.
How Does this Speaker Mount in the Ceiling?
Customers often ask us if they need special installation mounting brackets on their OSD ceiling speakers. The answer is no and here’s why. All our in-ceiling speakers feature a dog leg (L-shaped) mounting system that is part of the frame. Before you install the speakers, remove the grille and you’ll see several the mounting screws near the front frame. These screws need to be loosened to activate the dog leg clamps. Use a screwdriver to loosen (turn to the left) these screws and the clamp will come loose. When the speaker is in position in the ceiling, tighten (turn to the right) the screw and the speaker will be secured to the ceiling.
What Type of Speaker Wire and What Gauge?
Wiring is not included with in-ceiling speakers so you will have to purchase some. We recommend our OSD Audio CL3/FT4 cable that is UL (fire) rated for in-wall and outdoor speaker installs. This type of cable includes a heavy-duty outer jacket approved for in-wall/in-ceiling installation. The high-quality plastic jacket is also very flexible so it's easy to run the wires inside the wall. As for the gauge, for runs up to 100 feet for background music, 16-gauge will be fine. If the run is approaching or exceeding 100 feet, we suggest 14-gauge wire.
Testing the Sound Quality of In-Ceiling Speakers
Many customers like to test the sound quality of their new OSD Audio in-ceiling speakers before they install them. Keep in mind, however, that these flush-mount speakers are designed to be used in the wall or ceiling. Uninstalled in-wall/in-ceiling speakers will sound weak and tinny because without the proper enclosure (in this case your house wall) the speaker can’t produce the sound pressure level it needs. If you want to try them out, we recommend mounting the in-ceiling speakers into a box of about 3 cubic ft. or larger; or simply mount them in the ceiling and then listen. This will give you an accurate measure of the sound quality.
For a retrofit installation, no construction bracket is needed.

Will your speakers end up looking like this one. These were exterior rated yet in 3 years this is what happen to them
Customer Service • 12/17/2019, 2:17:43 PM
Hi Brad:
It looks like you lost your surround which was weak link. WE have been selling this speaker for more than 10 years and I have never seen one of ours look like that. The key is our surround is sanoprene a synthetic rubber that has holds up longer than foam or cheap rubber. Ours are warranty for 10 years.

I want to install these in my shower and bathroom ceiling but want to be able to connect to it with Bluetooth. Would I be able to wire this up to Pyle Bluetooth Receiver Wall Mount ?
Customer Service • 12/17/2019, 2:17:43 PM
Hi Kat:
yes you can connect to a Bluetooth Wall mounted Amp/receiver in fact we offer one similar with less clutter and alittle bit easier to install. it is the model OSD XWB50. I am assuming you are planning to put just a pair of speakers in your bathroom, one in the shower and a second in the bathroom ceiling. I am assuming you are wanting to connect it as a right and left stereo pair of speakers.. Which might not have the proper stereo seperation depending on how close the speakers are mounted near each other. Another option; you might want to consider purchasing two of our ICE600TTWRS which are a single summed mono stereo speaker. Each speaker would be a full range speaker where you would not have to worry about stereo seperation. Each speaker features a Dual Voice Coil Driver that features a right and left input. You would wire from the Bluetooth Receievr using 16/4 four conductor cable (CL3/FT4 rated) to the in-ceiling speaker then take another four conductor wire out from the first over to the speaker mounted in the Ceiling above the shower. That will be like wiring two pair of 8 ohm speakers in parallel for a 4 ohm connection to the amplifier.
Please let me know if you need additional info.

How would these sound indoors? I found a deal for four of these and want two indoors and two outdoors
Customer Service • 12/17/2019, 2:17:43 PM
Hi Alex:
These were created to work outside and also internally for bathrooms or anywhere where steam or humidity might be a problem. They will work and sound fine inside as well as outside. And if you got a deal even better.

Planning to install speakers for covered backyard patio/deck. However the ceiling is slightly slanted/inclined. Is it ok to use inceiling speakers with non-pivoting tweeter? Or better to get pivoting tweeter in-ceiling or separate outdoor speakers on a mount?
Customer Service • 04/21/2021, 1:57:48 PM
Hi Calvin:
The ICE600WRS has a pivoting tweeter. The ICE640WRS has similar specs but goes a little lower to 40Hz and has a second-order crossover. I would recommend going with the Patio speaker, which has a more controlled dispersion pattern than any in-ceiling speaker. The best choice there would be the AP525 with a two-way mounting system. It can swivel and tilt. Specs are similar to the in-Ceiling 6.5-inch speakers. Price is also under $100 a pair.
