In our 6.5-inch category, the ICE610 contractor series speaker with polypropylene cone woofer
is a cost effective way for the builder or homeowner to add speakers to every room with a fraction of the cost. In spite of the low price, however, customers continually review the ICE610s as exceptionally solid sounding speakers. Contributing to this is the larger 6.5-inch polypropylene cone woofer with butyl rubber surround and .5'' PEI dome tweeter. Surrounding the speaker cone, Butyl Rubber Surround is a tough, moisture-resistant rubber that helps reflect energy and provides excellent sound damping characteristics. The ICE610s are an excellent choice for price-conscious customers who appreciate a good value.
For a retrofit installation, no construction bracket is needed.

I bought a pair of these and intend to install with impedance matching volume controls. What is the impedance of these speakers? I don't see the Ohms listed anywhere. Thanks

Hi Heath:
All of our In-Ceiling and In-Wall speakers are 8 ohm. How many speakers are you connecting besides the ICE610 that you are concerned with the Impedance of this single pair?

I am going to purchase 4 pairs of these and hook up to my Yamaha receiver. What else do I need to purchase for this set up to work. I ran 1 wire from the receiver to a speaker then branched off to the other speaker and did that for each pair.

Hi Brett:
Which Yamaha Amplifier (model #)? And how many zones and how many speakers per each? You ran a single two conductor cable to a single speaker then extended it to a second speaker. Where did you see a wiring diagram that showed you this concept? Why did you not run a 2 conductor to each speaker? in the zone. You are describing a 70V wiring diagram. Is this 70V Yamaha COMMERCIAL Amp/Receiver?

These are going into an existing installation (backyard covered patio). The existing drywall holes are 8.5" in diameter. Will these speakers still work? I'm assuming they will, but want to make sure before ordering. Thanks in advance!
Customer Service • 12/17/2019, 2:17:43 PM
Hi Jim:That will leave you a 1/4/.25" wiggle room around the speaker. It should work, but you should be looking at our WRS series, which is a weather Resistant speaker ideal for outdoor covered patio application like yours. But all of our choices are 7 3/4"/7.75 or a little less that would not work in an 8.5" hole. Too bad you can not make the cutout hole bigger so you could use our ICE840WRS which needs a cutout of 9.0 inches.TL/5627
